Founded in 1990, Newport Rental Guide is a full service real estate agency specializing in rentals, sales and property management. We are members of the Newport County Board of REALTORS®, and the Newport County Chamber of Commerce. Advertising is provided free of charge to owners, managers, and agents who list their rental properties with Newport Rental Guide. All tenant prospects are preliminarily screened for income, length of tenancy, and other qualifications before we begin searching our database for properties. Once a price range and other criteria have been established, the selection and showing of appropriate properties begins. Once a prospect has selected a property, the NRG agent will negotiate all terms and conditions between prospect and landlord. The rental application information supplied by the prospect is then verified by the agent through a credit check, income and employment verification, and previous landlord check and other means. This information is then reported to the property owner for the final decision on tenant approval. The NRG agent then prepares a lease, collects appropriate funds, has all necessary documents signed and delivered to all parties, oversees utility transfer, and assists with the move-in process.
